What's the Weather?
Let’s start by checking out the weather forecast. If you’ve been using the temperature section under the clock icon of the Web Editor, it’s worth exploring the added functionality of Easy Drop Weather. Not only can you view the forecasts, but you can also add an adaptive icon that changes with the weather - a cool feature to keep your audience engaged.
How to Get Started with Easy Drop Weather
Before diving into Easy Drop Weather, ensure your Displays App settings are set to the correct location. Then, enable the Easy Drop Weather feed in the Data Studio app, and you’re ready to “drop” live updates into your content. Need a guide? Unlock the Power of Automated Messaging
Have you ever wished to display content only under specific circumstances? With Conditional Scheduling in the Data Studio app for VCS packages Professional and Enterprise, this becomes a reality. Conditional Scheduling relies on feeds integrated into Data Studio, offering boundless opportunities. The sole limitation lies in the data feed itself.
For instance, your local weather station might provide a free RSS feed for weather updates. By configuring precise conditions, you could trigger content showcasing refreshing beverages when temperatures soar to 85 degrees or higher. Similarly, event venues leveraging ticket sale feeds could set conditions for when events are nearly sold out or when there’s an ongoing sale on tickets. Envision a mall utilizing parking garage information in a data feed to set conditions for when parking is nearing capacity or fully occupied, with content guiding drivers to the nearest available parking area. The possibilities are endless – any concept you envision, any supported feed you discover or create, can be employed to automate content scheduling, alleviating the need for manual playlist intervention.
