Easy Drop Weather provides an easy-to-use weather feed that can be added to any display via Web Editor and will pull local conditions based on the location of the display (zip code).  No temp sensor is needed.

Steps

    Verify the display location with the Venus Displays App.
    1. Log into Venus Control Suite.  See: Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
    2. Open Venus Display App from the Apps Menu located in the top right of the VCS landing page. Venus: My navigation has changed after updates
    3. Click on an existing display to Edit.
    4. Click on the Configuration tab. 
    5. Search the location by typing in the city name and press enter. This will provide a drop-down list of options to select from
    6. Pick a location from the Location list.
    7. Save

    Enable the Data Studio Easy Drop Weather Feed. 
    1. Navigate to Data Studio (under My Apps).
    2. Under Data Sources, select the existing Easy Drop Weather feed.  
    3. Move the toggle to Enable the feed.

    Build your content within VCS Web Editor.

    This content will act as a template for the account's displays that have the size and aspect ratios.  With multiple displays, sample data will default to one location within the account when making content.  However, the feed will map to the correct location when playing on the display. 

    1. Open the new Web Editor App from the My Apps Menu
    2. Open an existing presentation or create something new
    3. Select the Easy Drop feed by selecting the data source from the drop-down menu in the Data tab.

    Current Weather - Expand ‘Current’ to view all the data associated with the current weather conditions.  Drag and drop elements from the right panel onto the canvas to build your current weather content.

    Forecast Weather -Expand ‘Forecasts’ to view all the data associated with a multi-day forecast.  Use the up and down arrows to cycle through each day of the forecast.  Drag and drop elements from the right panel onto the canvas to build your weather forecast content.
