At the end of 2023, we were looking at our control systems and asked our users what were the top features they loved in Show Control. We received our answers and here are the Top 10 Features of Show Control!

1.       Quick Data - A widget in Display Studio that allows you to define groups and tabs of data that can be quickly edited in Display Studio.

2.       Data Studio - Flexibility when it comes to data sources including the integration of custom and official league data.

3.       Layout Editor - A user-friendly interface that brings multiple settings into one visual tool. You can build looks and configure the processor resources without relying on Daktronics’ assistance.

4.       Media RTD - Replacing an alphanumeric value in a data field with a media item, such as a logo, image or video.

5.       Data Paging - This removes limitations on data paging and allows you to page through any data source to make displaying data easier and more effective.

6.       Data Effects - Give broadcast-like effects to all real-time data, including Media RTD.

7.       Open Content from a Button - A feature that allows you to open the content directly from the back of the button in Content Studio or to view it in Explorer.

8.       Include Scripts - Adding an existing script button into a new script button minimizes the time required to build and edit scripts.

9.       Hotkeys - Allowing you to map a Display Studio button with a single or series of multiple characters on the keyboard for quick access to essential prompts and frequently used buttons.

10.   Trigger Widget - Empowering the front end of a control system to initiate Daktronics triggers and removing the need for manual triggers on the other end.

There are some very popular features on this list, but we obviously couldn’t include them all. Do you see a feature you use all the time but isn’t listed? Let us know!
