March. Basketball. 68 men’s teams. 68 women’s teams. Buzzer beaters across America. Madness. It all culminates in one shining moment for one men’s team and one women’s team. And Daktronics plays a large part in supporting the experience for thousands and thousands of people from the first games to the final team’s standing with their trophy.
The men’s tournament features Daktronics products and services supporting 43 of 67 games. As always, it starts at the University of Dayton where the first of the four “play-in” games take place every year. UD Arena is outfitted with a great-looking LED display system and is one of four sites where Daktronics personnel will be on hand for live event support.
Moving into the first and second rounds, four of the eight venues will prominently feature our products and services. Those venues are Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York; CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska; Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington; and FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
From there on out, every venue for the regionals and final championship game will feature our equipment. Regional venues include TD Garden in Boston, American Airlines Center in Dallas, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
And, of course, the finals are played at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix. TD Garden and State Farm Stadium will both feature on-site event support from Daktronics as well.
For the women’s tournament, only three locations are locked in as hosts at the moment as the higher seeds host games until the regional and championship games. Daktronics equipment will be featured at one of those locations, MVP Arena in Albany, New York.
That’s quite the list of locations relying on Daktronics to ensure their game-day productions are top-notch and shine on the national stage!
We wish all 136 men’s and women’s teams the best of luck in the 2024 tournaments and can’t wait to see how the madness unfolds! If you’re one to fill out a bracket, we hope you make all the right picks – upsets or otherwise. And if you see any great shots of these venues listed above and their Daktronics display systems, please share it on social media using the hashtag #DakMadness!
