Free and Phenomenal: Take Advantage of Daktronics Free Media to Create Captivating Messages

Getting Started In VCS
When you order a Daktronics display that is managed by Venus Control Suite, you will receive a free Media Kit. This kit contains various types of background images and videos that can be utilized right away. It will be about 400+ files that are either stills, or animated. They will be split up into categories ranging from retail items, schools and education, and much more! Keep in mind you are not limited to these files but to help aid those who need to get content created quickly from our Web Editor App.
Exploring Our Other Free Options
After logging into VCS, you should see a “Free Media” link under the Getting Started section of the Launchpad. This site is filled with a diverse set of content packages that can be used for free! When exploring the different packages keep in mind you will have the option to download the animation, or still versions of the files. To get a preview of what it may look like check out the video once you click into the selected package. Underneath the video are the specific links for each display size that is available. Don’t worry if you don’t see your size on the list, because on every package there is a “Custom Size” link to request the package in your display size. Just give us 10-14 business days to send you the files via email.
Other than the backgrounds that open by default on our Free Media site, we also have Graphic elements. This will be located under the “Building Blocks” section on the left-hand navigation. These are split up into packages surrounding the months of the year and their different holidays or themes. The preview and download process will be very similar to the steps explained above.
Using the Content in your Presentations
After selecting a package, make sure to find the correct size link for your display in H x W. You will receive an email for the files and the link will be a .zip folder.
