We are seeing a lot of white recently outside corporate offices in South Dakota thanks to a fresh coat of snow. While the white stuff my look pretty on our trees and rooftops, white is not prominently used on the content we make for digital displays.
With LED technology, we know that the use of white or very light colored backgrounds use more light and may repel the eye—not the desired response. Instead, it is advised to overlay images and logos in front of a contrasting background. Predominately white backgrounds should be avoided as they tend to be bright and wash out the accompanying logos/images.
Score big with your fans by using rich, vibrant colors. For backgrounds, bright, saturated colors will grab attention better than pastel or low-contrast colors.
