An update to the MLB rules earlier this year has an effect on how DakStats operators should score the Intentional Walk.
Rather than the pitcher throwing four pitches to walk a batter, a hand signal is given by the defensive’s teams manager. To properly input this play in DakStats, users should use the Base on Balls option (located on the Batted Ball tab), then select Intentional. This will advance the batter without affecting the pitch count.
