Steps

Note: Please refer to What operating systems are supported with the Venus 1500 software versions? for compatible operating systems.

 

Prior to installing Venus 1500 v4.22.3, please ensure you run all available Windows updates and have .NET Framework 3.5 feature enabled for higher success rate.

  1. Download and install the latest Venus 1500 V4 software on the new computer by following, How do I update or download Venus 1500 V4 software?, DD1993540.
  2. Set Schedule tab in Venus 1500 to previous mode used (Continuous Mode or Scheduled Mode).  For instruction, refer to How do I switch between Continuous Mode and Schedule Mode in Venus 1500 V4?, DD1996807.
    • Venus 1500 installs with schedule set to Continuous Mode by default, Change to Scheduled mode if needed before transferring database.
  3. Obtain a copy of the old computer database if accessible by following, How do I use the Nucleus Server Database utility to transfer or save a database?, DD1705994.
  4. Download the free media kit for your specific display size by following, How do I download the Venus 1500 V4 Media Kit?, DD1986681.
  5. Register your Venus 1500 V4 on your new computer by following, How do I register or license Venus 1500 V4 software? , DD2194981.
    • Note: This step is not be required if using the latest version (4.22.3) of the software installation.
