TRUMPF Smart Factory Upgrades Welcome and Presentation Experience with dvLED Displays from Daktronics
Two Narrow Pixel Pitch displays installed at manufacturing facility in Illinois
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Nov. 26, 2024 – TRUMPF Inc., a high-tech company focused on further developing and digitally connecting production technology to make manufacturing even more efficient, precise and future-proof, has turned to Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, in conjunction with AV integrator Automation Arts, to manufacture and install two direct-view LED (dvLED) displays at their Smart Factory facility in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Installed in the summer of 2024, both displays are completely operational and making an impact.
“TRUMPF is dedicated to high-quality technology, and the crisp, clear and brilliant Daktronics display is a great way to welcome customers and employees into our Smart Factory and introduce them to the world of digitized, connected and automated manufacturing,” says TRUMPF Inc Smart Factory Director Kartik Iyer.
dvLED Display Details
Both dvLED displays feature 1.9-millimeter pixel spacing for crisp, clear imagery with an added element of luxury. Each measures approximately 7 feet high by 12 feet wide and both are capable of showing one large image or video as well as multiple feeds of information in different zones of the display if desired.
“At Daktronics, we’re an end user of the precision fabrication machinery made by TRUMPF, so it’s great to say we are businesses supporting each other for our own unique, individual business needs,” said James Roehrl, Daktronics AV sales representative. “These displays at their facility bring an added dimension to their customer visits as well as their employees’ daily routines as they walk by the lobby display on their way into the office. It’s a great addition to their building.”
The lobby display, positioned just to the side of the main reception desk, welcomes guests and employees with personalized messages as they enter further into the state-of-the-art facility. This crystal-clear display shares the TRUMPF Smart Factory branding and company information, as well as general welcome messaging.
The second display is located upstairs by the Smart Factory’s “Control Room” area, which overlooks the production demonstration space. This display provides visitors with a visually appealing, transparent and real-time overview of key process analytics and a dashboard of current production status from the manufacturing shop floor. It can also help with customer-focused conversations or other content opportunities in the future, as needed.
Daktronics dvLED Narrow Pixel Pitch product line features pixel spacings ranging from 2.5-millimeters down to 0.7-millimeters to meet the specific needs of audiovisual customers in multiple applications.
