MSU Mankato Turns to Daktronics for New Four-Sided Centerhung

New system brings positive impact to volleyball, basketball events at the Taylor Center

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Sept. 14, 2023 – For a new visual experience inside the Taylor Center, Minnesota State University (MSU) Mankato selected Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to design, manufacture and install a new four-side centerhung video display system. When Mavericks fans swarm the venue for volleyball this weekend, the system will be fully operational and providing a new view of the event. The center is also home to Mavericks men’s and women’s basketball.

Centerhung Details

The four-sided centerhung is comprised of four equal-sized displays, each measuring more than 8 feet high by nearly 15 feet wide. Each display features 3.9-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear imagery and video content to fans in every seating section of the arena.

The displays are capable of variable content zoning. This feature allows each display to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
