Daktronics Delivers Double-Sided Digital Billboard for the Jawhara

Partnering with BackLite Media leads to iconic installation in Dubai

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Feb. 25, 2022 – Daktronics has partnered with BackLite Media to manufacture and install the Jawhara, a new double-sided digital billboard in Dubai. Located opposite the Museum of the Future on Sheikh Zayed Road, the display is positioned for maximum viewing by passersby and launched in February of 2022. The structure supporting and surrounding the display was built by Yerevan Steel in conjunction with Blue Rhine Industries.

On each side of the structure, the displays measure 11.52 meters high by 7.68 meters wide and feature 10-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, bold imagery. These displays also incorporate Daktronics’ industry-leading environmental protection to ensure they operate as expected in Dubai’s outdoor environment.

Digital Out Of Home advertising has become a high-volume medium to share messages with the public. The nature of digital signage allows for those messages to be changed at a moment’s notice to fit with any campaign or timely activity for maximum impact.
