Daktronics and Elan Group Light up Place Vendome Mall with LED Digital Signage

16 displays totaling nearly 600 square meters and 21.3 million LEDs installed in 2022

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Oct. 25, 2022 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Elan Group to manufacture and install 16 LED displays throughout Place Vendome Mall in Doha, Qatar. The largest display lights up the main entrance to the property and highlights the 2022 installation.

"AVT, partner of Daktronics, and Elan representative in technical support with five years SLA services, carried out the project," said Harish Kunju, AVT project manager. "AVT offered a turnkey solution for the media screen from the design and installation of the steel structure, cladding, electrical and data infrastructure to the installation of the media screens, content management system, installation testing and commissioning. Prior to the mall's opening, we made sure to deliver the project on time and in accordance with the client's expectations, with extra effort added to meet the timeline."

The outdoor display wraps around the corner of the building and measures a total of 24.96 meters high by 13.76 meters wide. It captures the attention of people passing by and connects with them as they enter the mall, sharing advertising and promotional messages for tenants. This display features 10-millimeter pixel spacing and incorporates industry-leading environmental protection ensuring it operates as expected in all forms of weather.

Stepping inside the mall, a large link bridge display engages visitors with images and messaging to promote tenants and hosted events. This display measures 1.5 meters high by 7 meters wide and features a tighter 3.9-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear imagery to people in the space. Other 3.9-millimeter displays will be installed throughout the mall at other link bridges, the food court and at the Novo Cinema.

The digital nature of these displays allows them to show scheduled content or to change their messaging at a moment’s notice to promote timely messaging for the mall and its tenants.
