Greensboro Grasshoppers Grab New LED Display From Daktronics
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Feb. 23, 2018 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has been selected by the Greensboro Grasshoppers to design, manufacture and install a new LED video display for the outfield at First National Bank Field in North Carolina. Installation of the new technology is scheduled for early 2018 to be ready for the upcoming season.
"We are thrilled to unveil an incredible new videoboard this season," said Greensboro Grasshoppers President and General Manager Donald Moore. "This will add significantly to our game-day experience and I know our fans will love this addition."
The new display will feature a 15HD pixel layout to bring excellent image clarity and contrast to fans in every season of the stadium. It will measure approximately 35 feet high by 47 feet wide to give the Grasshoppers a large digital canvas with flexibility to show video, data and graphics to their fans.
The display is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
