Downtown Summerlin Brings Light Over Roadway With Daktronics Display

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Nov. 22, 2016 – A new LED display installed on Festival Plaza Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada, is bringing messages and advertising to passersby after Downtown Summerlin® asked Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to design and manufacture the nearly 380-square-foot display.
Downtown Summerlin, a 106-acre, 1.4-million-square-foot mixed-use development owned and operated by The Howard Hughes Corporation®, features outdoor businesses, entertainment, fashion, restaurants and retail establishments. They have brought in this new LED display technology to enhance communication at the district.

Measuring 12 feet high by 31.5 feet wide, the display features 10-millimeter SMD LED line spacing to provide high outdoor resolution images those passing by. Capable of live and recorded video, this display is mainly used for graphics and animations to announce current and upcoming events to the entire valley which welcomes approximately one million visitors per month.
