Data Studio Baseball: How do I configure an output for In-Venue MLB Stats no DakStats Operator?

Topic

  • Do the following to configure Data Studio Baseball for In-Venue Stats for systems that have no DakStats Operator.  The data will go to Show Control and does not use DakStats Baseball for in-game updates. If using DakStats, follow the Data Studio Baseball installation process.  
  • This retrieves daily schedules and real-time scores and stats direct from MLB.com for a chosen venue
  • Reformats the data provider’s information for the Daktronics display controller to the display.

Steps

Input Configuration

Outputs

  1. Log into Data Studio Baseball:
  2. Click on the outputs icon from the left side menu.  
  3. Click Add Output and choose In-Venue ERTD Scoreboard from the drop down.  
  4. Enter the port number. 
    1. The default is 22321 for stats from Show Control. 
    2. Use 23321 for Live Book integration.  
  5. Click Save.

DMP-8000 integration
Update the DMP to version 8.43.0.49 or later.  This should include the latest DID/DSRC files for the player. 
Show Control integration
Update the Show Control to version 2.20.1 or later.  This should include the profile setup.  
Live Book integration

If updates to the DMP and Show Control are not feasible, a profile will need to be manually configured.  See: How to Configure the Profile Editor
