Steps

JSON  (JavaScript Object Notation) is a format for transferring dynamic data.  Here are examples of external JSON based API's (Application Programming Interface) that Daktronics interfaces with:
  1. NGSS API  (NBA Basketball)
  2. Second Spectrum (NBA Basketball)
  3. NCAA API
  4. Weather updates
  5. Lottery results
  6. The JSON format is text based.  It uses key/value pairs to describe and show the data.
JSON is often preferred over the XML feeds because it takes up less space and processes faster.
  1. This format also organizes data in an object hierarchy. Data Studio Basketball: How do I view JSON data sources and feed information?
