6000 Processor: My ProLink 5 NPN display is showing dark bands during edge adjust

Potential Symptoms

  • My ProLink 5 NPN display is showing dark bands during edge adjust. See examples below:

Environment

  • Product Family: Display Interface, Video Processor, Narrow Pixel Pitch Display, NPP, NPN
  • Product: DI-6000, VP-6000, 6000 Series Processor version 20 or later. The display firmware needs to be the latest.  
  • Components: User Interface, ProLink 5 Displays (1.9mm & 2.5mm) 
  • Control System:
Extra steps are needed to enable a ProLink 5 NPN for edge adjust. 

Cause

  • Edge adjustment required.

Resolution

Verify that your display is ProLink 5.

  1. Verify that the display uses network cables (not SATA cables).
  2. Navigate to: http://[ADDRESS]/#update/display
    1. Expand Show Versions, Expand your outputs:
    2. Check that the HWID for LogicCard starts with 0x2A.

For ProLink 5 NPN (1.9mm & 2.5mm) products, edge adjustment requires the following change:

  1. On the DI-6000 or VP-6000 go to http://[ADDRESS]/#flags/14/always_send_all_cal_frames
  2. Change to Enabled and click Save.
  3. Resume edge adjust.
