Fuelight: Unable to change prices using a newly installed DM-100, run "Detect Displays"

Potential Symptoms

  • Newly installed DM-100 giving "Radio Network Mismatch" error.
    • If the DM-100 was sent out set to the wrong function at first it may not show this error.
    • It may not say this if there is more than one Client and it can already communicate with one of them.
  • Unable to change the prices on the display. Sequence sends with no error.
  • May only update some of the prices on the displays.
  • Unable to put a test pattern on the display. Again, no error code.

Environment

  • Product: FL-2000, FL-3000, FL-4000, FL-4500
  • Component: DM-100 w/firmware version 4.4 or higher.
  • Control System: FLD-2000, FLR-500, FLR-1500, FLD3-2000, FLR3-1500, FLXR-3/4

Cause

  • This is a normal error for newly installed DM-100's as the DM-100 "remembers" the radio clients that it has been previously connected to and will display the "Radio Network Mismatch" error if there is a difference in the number of radio clients being used now.

Resolution

  1. Within the DM-100, run Detect Displays after hooking up the DM-100 for the first time onsite.

  2. The DM-100 will go through the detect displays sequence and then save the detected number of clients, at this point you will no longer receive the "Radio Network Mismatch" error as the DM-100 has now saved it's new system configuration settings.
