Data Studio Basketball: NBA Gameday Procedures

Steps

  1. If the site uses DSTI for other sports/events, verify that the program is closed.
  2. Open Data Studio Basketball. - Click on the basketball icon on the desktop.
    1. Click on the arrow icon on the left side menu to access the Data Providers.
    2. Select the appropriate data provider.  For NBA, use NGSS Api See: How to I register my Data Studio NBA with NGSS?
      1. Verify that the correct home team is selected.  
      2. Enter the API key if prompted.  This information is team specific and provided by NGSS.
      3. Click Save to save any changes.
    3. Under Data Providers, verify the appropriate mode. Change if needed, wait for the Green Check to indicate the changes have been applied.
  3.  Click on the home icon on the left side menu to go to the Stats Dashboard.   
The time stamp in the upper right corner should be current.

  1. Data is ready to be displayed.
