Data Studio Basketball: My data is not updating

Potential Symptoms

  • My data is not updating from Data Studio Basketball
  • The Data Studio Clock is not up-to-date
  • In Data Studio | Basketball- The Last updated time stamp is not current.

*Note* For NBA API the Allsport feed isn't used. All data (including the clock) comes from the NBA API.

Environment

  • Product Family: Sport Software and Controllers
  • Product: Data Studio | Basketball

  • Control System: NBA, Genius Sports, NGSS, Second Spectrum

Cause

  • Your network not communicating with the data provider.
  • Your team is not registered for the API.  (NBA)

  • The XML file is not updating.  (NCAA) 
    Note: Not all the NBA fields are also available for NCAA.  These fields will be blank on the dashboard, and they will not be selectable fields in Content Studio.  

Resolution

  1. Verify that the Network/Internet is working. 
  2. Verify that the team is registered.  See- How do I register my Data Studio | NBA?
