Venus 1500: Controller unresponsive after updating firmware; resolution unknown

Potential Symptoms

  • Controller unresponsive shortly after updating from 3.10.2 to 3.12.2.
  • Controller will work for a short time after update then stop communicating.

Environment

  • Product: AF-3500, AF-3550

  • Control System: Venus 1500 version 3

Cause

  • Updating the firmware from 3.10.2 to 3.12.2 may stop communications with the controller.

Resolution

Step up the controller firmware to 3.11.4 then up to the latest to help avoid this.
