Data Monitor: How do I use to verify data feeds?

The Data Monitor tool is used to monitor RTD feeds on a Daktronics Control System.

Steps

  1. The data monitor is a widget available in Show Control.

  2. If you want the data monitor on a different computer in your system, Reference:  Where can I download Data Monitor to install?
  3. Add a port.  
    1. Under Port, select new from the dropdown.

    2. For standard port settings, reference ED-17652, and navigate to the sport you are trying to setup.
    3. Select OK to save your new port settings. 
  4. If your data is working you will start to see it populate.

  5. View by DID.
    1. Select the DID view tab.  
    2. Pick a DID file from the drop down.  Note: DID files are located at the following location on Show Control.  
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Content Studio\StandardProfile
    3. Pick the appropriate data source. 
    4. Query: RTDData.
