How to turn off write filter for Windows 10 OS for an AF-6710 and LS-1000 display

Environment

  • Product Family: Transportation
  • Product: LS-1000, AF-6710 data displays
  • Components: SBC with Win10 OS
  • Control System: DVS, tight VNC or VNC Viewer

Steps

  1. Power cycle the sign.
  2. VNC into the SBC.
  3. Enter password.
  4. close chromium and command prompt.
  5. Open command prompt as administrator.
  6. Type: uwfmgr.exe filter disable
  7. Press enter
  8. It will prompt you to restart the SBC.
  9. When computer has full restarted open command prompt as administrator.
  10. Type: uwfmgr.exe filter disable
  11. Press enter and verify that it says already disabled.
  12. To enable the write filter open command prompt as administrator
  13. Type: uwfmgr.exe filter enable
  14. Press enter.
  15. It will prompt you to restart the SBC.
  16. When computer has full restarted open command prompt as administrator.
  17. Type: uwfmgr.exe filter enable
  18. Press enter and verify that it says already enabled.
