Cannot Connect to Galaxy with Venus 1500 but can with M2Config, Close M2Config

Potential Symptoms

  • Able to ping galaxy display, but receives an error message "Unable to connect to display" in Venus 1500.
  • Able to connect in M2Config.

Environment

  • Product Family: Message Displays, Software
  • Product: Galaxy displays
  • Component: M2 or M3 controller
  • Control System: Venus 1500 v4

Cause

  • M2 is still connected to the Galaxy display and will not allow a second connection. 

Resolution

  • Disconnect M2 before trying to connect via Venus 1500.
