Venus Reporting: How do I create and run a Proof of Play report in Venus Control Suite?

Steps

Opening the Reporting App

  1. Log into Venus Control Suite. See: Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
  2. Open Reporting from the My Apps menu or from the Venus Launchpad page. 

  

Associating Media to Accounts

  1. On the left hand side of the window, navigate to the Media Association page.
  2. Select any content that needs to be associated with an account.  
  3. From the right slide out, pick the name of the account for the selected content.  
  4. Add any extra tags to help with organization.  
  5. Click Save to associate.

Create a Report

  1. In the reporting app, click Reporting from the left hand side of the window.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Choose Proof of Play Report from the Report Type drop-down list. Configure New Report expands with more options.
  4. Type a descriptive report name in the Name text box. This could be the name of the event, game matchup, and/or date of the event.
  5. Click Select Displays to select individual displays, and in the right hand slide out, select one or more displays as needed. Displays selected in this manner are grouped by account. Select All is the default for selecting all displays.  
  6. Click Select Accounts to associate an account to the report. Check the desired accounts and click Select.
  7. Choose Include Unassociated Media to include files that are not associated to an account.
  8. Under Group By Behavior, select if the report will be grouped by Account or by Display.
  9. Type the time parameters for the report under Start Time and End Time.
  10. Type the date parameters for the report under Start Date and End Date.
  11. Click Submit. The Reports menu opens, listing all completed reports with the most recent report at the top of the list. It may take a few minutes to generate before being ready to view.
