6000 Processor: How to run and operate the SDI tool via command lines

Steps

  1. Open Putty
    NOTE: To log in with dakeng please reference 6000 Processor: How to log in using PuTTY  
  2. Enter command sditool rx dump followed by the card and input to be checked.
    • Com,and dumps all registers specific to receiving SDI and shows link status
  3. DI-6000 syntax
    1. Rev 06 and earlier:
      • sditool rx dump cardid=1 clear_sticky=1 core=x  
    2. Rev 07 and later:
      • sditool rx dump --cardid 1 --clear_sticky 1 --core x 
    3. Rev 27.2 and later:
      • sudo -u kadoka sditool rx dump --cardid 1 --clear_sticky 1 --core x 
    4. Arguments:
      1. cardid=1 - represents card to communicate with
      2. core=0 or 1 - Indicates which SDI port to read status for, 0=E, 1=F.
  4. VP-6000 syntax
    1. Rev 06 and earlier
      • sditool rx dump cardid=1 core=x clear_sticky=1 
    2. Rev 07 and later - rev06 syntax still supported
      • sditool rx dump --cardid 1 --core x --clear_sticky 1
    3. ​​​​​​​Rev 27.2 and later:
      • ​​​​​​​sudo -u kadoka sditool rx dump --cardid 1 --core x --clear_sticky 1
    4. Arguments
      1. cardid=1 - represents card to communicate with
      2. core=0, 1, 2, or 3  - represents which input to query
  5. When running the tool, ensure that fields in the SDI RX Link Status are green. Any red fields indicate issues with either signal integrity or configuration and will need to be troubleshot accordingly.
