No communication to VIP4060, Zone Defender power.
Potential Symptoms
- Unable to communicate to VIP4060 but can communicate with other devices.
- "Communication Failure" in IDM on the VIP-4060.
- VIP is receiving proper 12VDC.
- DS2 heartbeat light is blinking steady.
- Network device the VIP is plugged into show a connection light; may showing activity light blinking.
- No voltage on the harness running from the Zone Defender to the VIP4060.
- Zone Defender has no indicator lights on it.

Cause
- Power jacks running to the Zone Defender are not connected together properly.
- (See cable below #5 label teal connection on the picture)
Resolution
- Reseat the connection which is inside the ISP enclosure connected to the VIP harness typically the green plug.
