NovaStar: How do I display a test pattern for in displays using Nova LCT-Mars software?

  • How to display a test pattern for in displays using a Nova LCT-Mars Sender Box?
Test patterns are used to check the display effect and pixel operating status.

Environment

  • Product: Nova MCTRL 600, Nova MCTRL 660, NovaStar VX4S, NovaStar brand sender box and receiver  cards
  • Components: NovaLCT-Mars, Monitoring/ Status Checks
  • Control System: Market Standard or Limited Compliance using transmit common/open protocol
    • This includes but not limited to DVN-4003, Dragon Sticks, J Series, JVX, SLD-x200, SLD-x400, U Series, Q Series, QVN, Z Series, and ZPN.

Steps

  1. Launch the  NovaLCT-Mars to enter Screen Config. configuration program. NovaStar: How do I log into and install software to use the NovaLCT-Mars Sender Box?
    • Sign in as an Advanced User
      PW = 666
  2. Click on the Screen Control tile.
  3. Choose the Self-Test pattern from the drop down.
    • Run/Normal --- This switched the LED display back to normal from Kill or Lock.
    • Colors (Red, Green, Blue, White) --- This will play pure color.  This pattern is helpful when trying to compare the brightness levels between sections of the display.  
    • Ageing / Self-Test --- This shows test images generated by the receiver card for LED displays aging test or error detecting.
  4. Choose send to play the test.

Display Control Buttons

  • Kill/ Black out --- This will show nothing on the LED display.
  • Lock/Freeze --- This will show the current image frame of the LED display.  

To return to regular operation, choose Normal and Send.
