My content isn’t playing as scheduled in Venus Control Suite

Potential Symptoms

  • My Content isn't playing as scheduled in Venus Control Suite.
  • Creative is scheduled in Venus Control Suite, but is not playing on the display.
  • Wrong content is playing on the display.
  • Incorrect playlist is running on the board.
  • Creative that is scheduled for a different date range is showing up on my message center.
  • Unwanted content is stuck on the display.

Environment

  • Venus Control Suite Locally Hosted
  • Venus Control Suite Daktronics Hosted

Cause

  • Incorrect message has been added to playlist or the same message has been added to multiple playlists by accident.
  • Playlist has not been associated with display/saved after display was selected.
  • Time Zone set incorrectly.

Resolution

  1. Confirm that the Timezone is set correctly.
    1. Click on the Menu in the upper left-hand corner of the software.
    2. Click on Displays.
    3. Choose the correct display.
    4. Click in Information.
    5. Under Display Information, click the Display Time Zone drop down and select the correct time zone.
    6. Click the Save button.
  2. Find and remove incorrect/duplicate messages.
    1. Go to the Playlists tab.
    2. Click on each playlist to open them and see if the correct content is playing or if they contain incorrect content.
    3. If incorrect messages are found, then click on Edit under Playlist Files.
    4. Click the "X" button to the right of the incorrect content's thumbnail to remove it from the playlist.
    5. Click the Save button.
  3. Republish Playlist to Display.
    1. Click on Edit under Displays.
    2. Put a checkmark next to the display(s) you wish to Publish to.
    3. Click the Save button.
