Not getting audio from the DMP-8000, Device not muted

Potential Symptoms

  • Not getting audio from the DMP-8000.
  • Can/Cannot get audio if you play the file using Media Player on the DMP-8000.

Cause

  • Audio enable is set to no on the primary.ini file, or not enabled in the web configuration.

Resolution

  • For 8000 version 6.x and lower, a level 2 technician will need to edit the primary.ini file to have the audio enabled=yes.
  • For 8000 version 7.24 and higher, change the audio from INACTIVE to ACTIVE in the web configuration.
