Potential Symptoms

  • The two shot time digits on both transparent shot clocks randomly have digit segments light up or go out at the same time.
  • Shot clock Game In Progress, GIP time shows segments randomly light or go out at the same time on both transparent shot clocks.

Environment

  • Product:  BB-214x, BB-2140, BB-2141, BB-215x, BB-2150, BB-2151 Transparent / Clear Shot Clocks
  • Component:  
  • Control System:  All Sport 5000

Cause

  • All Sport dimming is set to anything but NONE.

Resolution

  1. On the All Sport press [MENU].
  2. Scroll down to MENU- DIMMING / LEVEL (0-9): n (n = a value 1-9).
  3. Press [0].
  4. Press [ENTER/YES].
  5. This will resolve the issue seen in the video below.
  6. In addition, you can also call Daktronics to request replacement transparent shot clock drivers with the latest revision of firmware, which will program these transparent shot clocks to ignore All Sport dimming.  This will update the drivers in the event that dimming in the All Sport is inadvertently enabled by a future operator.
