Not getting any audio from VNet into audio system: plugged into mic input

Potential Symptoms

  • No audio coming out of VNet to audio system, even though previously video files with embedded audio worked fine.

Environment

  • VNet / DMP-8000
  • RapcoHorizon LTIBlOX 3.5mm Stereo to XLR Interface Unit

Cause

  • LTIBLOX not  plugged in or is plugged into the red mic input on the back of the i/o panel of the VNet/DMP-8000.

Resolution

  1. Turn down the master volume/gain on audio mixer or mute input channel for LTIBLOX on mixer.
  2. Unplug the LTIBLOX from the mic input on the back of the VNet.
  3. Plug the LTIBLOX into the green headphone jack out or silver jack on some DMP-8000's.
  4. Set the potentiometer (knob) to highest volume setting (i.e. turn all the way clockwise).
  5. Slowly increase master volume on mixer or use PFL to check levels on mixer before unmuting channel.

If no audio still coming through, check audio level output/volume from task tray in lower right on VNet.
