Connect failed after auto-detecting display with serial communication; Port lockup
Potential Symptoms
- Get "Connect Failed" pop-up immediately after auto-detecting and configuring display in Venus.
- After closing error window and Display Management window which does list the newly detected display, the Alert section of the Home tab in Venus shows "Connect Failed".
- Get "Connect Failed" message immediately after trying to connect in M2Config.
- Serial Radio communication specific symptom:
- Transmit (TX) and receive (RX) LEDs on J-box during auto-detect flash but after "connect failed" error, there is no activity on either TX or RX LED.

Cause
- Serial port lock up.
Resolution
- Reboot the computer.
- If using a USB to serial adaptor, disconnect the adaptor from the computer and re-connect to the same USB port.
