Scoreboard blanking, clock skipping, console antenna loose; Antenna cable damaged

Potential Symptoms

  • Wireless scoreboard blanks and comes back on.
  • Clock skips seconds intermittently.
  • Horn sounds longer than normal.
  • Antenna connection on the console is loose and/or spins freely.
  • Scoreboard is blank.
  • Skipping and blanking still present after installing Antenna Extension Kit.

Environment

  • Product: Scoreboard
  • Component: Wireless console antenna cable
  • Control System: Wireless All Sport controller

Cause

  • Antenna cable in the All Sport Console is broken, damaged, or detached inside.

Resolution

  • Contact Daktronics Customer Support to discuss available options.
  • Reattach antenna cable to radio card if undamaged.

For Temporary Operation

  • Use a 1/4" stereo phono cable to connect the console to the scoreboard.  Cable should not exceed 2000 ft. in length.
