Shot Clock: Are there any options for a louder horn?

My shot clock horn isn't loud enough. Are there any upgrade options for a louder shot clock horn?

Environment

  • Product: Shot Clock (e.g. BB-2114, BB-2115, BB-3115)
  • Component: Horn
  • Control System: All Sport Console

Steps

The SHOT CLOCK 120V BUZZER HORN KIT can be installed to produce a louder shot clock horn but the only problem is it will sound the same as the Main Clock Horn.
If that is a concern, we can also upgrade the Main Clock to a trumpet horn which will allow the refs to hear a the difference in sound between the two horns.

Before upgrading there are a few thing check/consider:

  1. Verify there is no dimming set on the All Sport Console
    1. From normal operation mode (e.g. code 1101), press MENU.
    2. Navigate to the Dimming Menu and verify it is set to "NONE".
  2. Regulations may require the shot clock horn and main scoreboard to have a different tone.  The option given below will not meet this regulation (i.e. the buzzer horn tone in the scoreboard and shot clock will be identical).

Below are the following parts that will be needed (1 of each per shot clock):

  • 0A-1230-0136 SHOT CLOCK 120V BUZZER HORN KIT

Note:  Depending on when the shot clock was manufactured, the shot clock may contain the 0P-1192-0399 horn interface/suppression board. If it does not, the 0P-1192-0399 needs to be used.
