Steps
- Windows updates are critical to Venus 1500 v4 and Show Control Software operate properly. There are several Microsoft components our software utilizes in the coding and functioning of our software. If you should need assistance with running Windows Updates, please contact your IT Department for assistance. Daktronics does not offer support or assist with updating Windows Operating Systems.
- Launch Windows Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools and choose Windows Updates or go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
- You may be prompted to install ActiveX and/or Microsoft Update, install both if prompted.
- Click Express (Recommended).
- Once listed updates are shown, click Install Updates.
- You may have to restart your computer for updates to apply.
- You may need to repeat the update steps several times as some updates cannot be downloaded and installed until certain ones, so it is important to repeat the steps until all updates are applied.
- Once updates and computer restart is complete, try the Venus 1500 v4 software again.

- Go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-windows-updates to learn how to install Windows 7 Updates.
