Topic

How to play a DVD from a rack mounted DVD player.

Environment

  • Denon DBP1611-UDP Blu-Ray player
  • VLink 4400
  • Control rack - possibly 40RU

Steps

  1. Insert the DVD into the DVD player and start playback.
  2. Switch the input or channel on the VLink to the one corresponding with the DVD player (script buttons may be setup on the Show Control or Venus 7000 computer for this).
  3. If using Venus Control Suite to schedule content schedule the capture .dpf file to play for the duration you would like.
  4. If a Nexia is present switch it to unmute the channel coming from the DVD player ("Event" preset will normally do this for you).
  5. Audio and video should be on the display at this point, adjustments may need to be made to the viewable and window areas on the Vlink to achieve desired content fit on the display.
