Show Control: How do I update an M3 message on my display with Display Studio?

  • The content playing on my display is out of date. How do I update a button or a message and send it back out to the display? 

Environment

  • Product:
  • Component: Display Studio, Content Studio, M3, Galaxy
  • Control System: Show Control System (SCS)

Steps

  1. Make appropriate changes to message in Content Studio and save
  2. Go to Display Studio/Show Control Software
  3. Open the M3 File Manager, located in the bottom left of the software

  4. Find file that was edited in the Player Files and click on it so it is highlighted
  5. Select the trash can directly above Player Files list

  6. File is now removed from the player
  7. Resend the edited Database File to the Player Files.
  8. Select the Database File on the left and use the right arrow in the center to send to player
