EBRs have 1 red link quality LED on server radio; Loose radio connection at input QC

Potential Symptoms

  • No communication with EBR radios.
  • Unable to communicate with display.
  • Server radio has 1 red Link Quality LED; low signal strength, but Channel LEDs are flashing.
  • Unable to ping display IP address or the Client radio IP address, but able to ping Server radio IP address.
  • Client radio has no LEDs lit inside.

Cause

  • Loose radio cable connection at input Quick Connect (QC).

Resolution

  1.  Check connections on radio cables that plug into Auxiliary A or B on Input QC if loose or disconnected.
    •  For Galaxy Displays: There are 2 wires on this radio, one is for the Ethernet connection to J32, and the other is the Auxiliary connection on J33 or J35.  It is this connection that provides power to the client radio.
  2. Reseat or securely plug in radio cable.
