Upon running a repair of Venus V4 get "Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable".

Potential Symptoms

  • When trying to run a repair on the Venus V4 software (SW) get a Windows Installer Message "The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"  Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Venus 1500 V4.msi" in the box below.

Cause

  • User logged into computer is not logged in as "Admin"...user may have ability to use credentials to perform admin functions but this will not allow for the Windows Installer to find the network resource of the Venus 1500 V4.msi file on the ADMIN profile.
  • Venus 1500 V4 has become corrupt or files have been deleted.

Resolution

  1. User needs to log into computer as ADMIN or have someone with credentials log in as ADMIN.
  2. Run repair on Venus V4 SW as needed.

  • Alternatively, you can download the setup file from our website. Running the setup file will repair the software.
