VLink 1500: How do I reprogram the EDID settings?

Environment

  • Product:  DB-1000 - DB-3000
  • Component:  VLink 1500
  • Control System:

Resolution

  1. Power down the VLink.
  2. Install DVI jumpers in the following manner:
    • X2 = 1-2
    • X3 = 2-3
    • X4 = 2-3
      • Example of jumper programming position:

  3. Power up the VLink 1500 and allow it to boot up and run for a few minutes.
    • (Optional) To verify EDID programming, connect to the VLink with HyperAccess or other telnet program. Enter "m3 -d system verify_edid".  Nothing printing to the debug screen means the EDID is correct.

  4. Power down the VLink 1500.
  5. Re-install the jumpers in the following manner:
    • X2 = 2-3
    • X3 = 1-2
    • X4 = 1-2
      • Example of jumper normal position:

  6. Power up the VLink 1500 and verify the DVI output is present.
    • If DVI source is still not present repeat the process making sure to let the VLink run for a few minutes while the jumpers are in the reprogram position.
