Can Venus 1500 v3 and v4 control a display at the same time?
Potential Symptoms
- Can Venus 1500 v3 and v4 control a display at the same time?
Environment
- Venus 1500 (4 & 3)
Cause
-
It is not recommended to use both V3 and V4 to control the display at the same time, as this is not supported. V4 software is designed to be on a single stand alone PC, and anytime you publish presentations to your display, it will overwrite and erase what V3 has done, or if you have a 2nd computer using v4.
Also can not use V4 messages in V3 software, they have different functions. It is possible to take the old v3 Messages and bring the V4 software by following D2034993.
Resolution
- Use only one version of Venus 1500 to control the display indefinitely.
