When installing v3.10 from Installation CD, receiving error 1335 and 1901.

Potential Symptoms

When installing v3.10 from Installation CD, receiving error 1335 and 1901.

Error:
Venus 1500 Installer Information
Error 1335.The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Error 1901.Error attempting to read from the source installation database: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\536d9.msi

Cause

  • The error 1335 leads to a bad CD ROM Drive, or bad files on the Install CD.
  • The error 1901 leads to bad/corrupt install files on the CD.

Resolution

For Error 1335 try installing a different program from a different Software CD(any type)
  • If the install of that program works, the software CD is bad.
  • If the install of that program does not work, User will need to contact their IT Department or Computer Technician to troubleshoot CD-ROM issues.
For error 1901 User will need to purchase a Replacement CD for Venus 1500 v3.12 Part # 0A-1147-0006.
  • If you have a Reseller - Contact your Reseller to purchase a new replacement CD.
  • If you do not have a Reseller - Contact Daktronics Customer Server to purchase a new replacement CD.
