How do I setup, change, or remove security on the controller with Venus 1500 v4 software?

Resolution

Setting a password
    1. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
    2. Click Orange V Application menu -> Configure -> Displays.
    3. Select current display and click Properties button.
    4. Click Security Options.
    5. Place a check mark in the Enable Security box.
    6. Type in new/desired password.
    7. Type and confirm password and click Ok.
Changing a password - Must know current password set to controller or be able to get status of the display in the Venus software without getting a password alert error.
  1. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
  2. Click Orange V Application menu -> Configure -> Displays.
  3. Select current display and click Properties button.
  4. Click Security Options.
  5. Type in new/desired password.
  6. Type and confirm password and click Ok.
    • Please note you may need to enter in the old password next.
  7. Click Ok to the warning message after reviewing it.
Removing the password - Must know current password set to controller or be able to get status of the display in the Venus software without getting a password alert error.
  1. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
  2. Click Orange V Application menu -> Configure -> Displays.
  3. Select current display and click Properties button.
  4. Click Security Options.
  5. Uncheck Enable Security.
    • Please note you may need to enter in the old password next.
  6. Click Ok to the warning message after reviewing it.
