Cause

  • Sign matrix (Height and/or Width or Color Depth) in Venus 1500 V4 is incorrect.

Resolution

Note: Changing the sign matrix in Venus 1500 will create a new display database and new content will need to be created.

  1. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
  2. Click the Orange V Application menu Button.
  3. Choose Configure -> Displays.
  4. Double-click the Display Icon or select the Display and click Edit Display.
  5. Adjust the Height and Width of the display appropriately.
    • Note: The Height and Width is displayed upon the start up sequence of the display or if a display is configured in Venus 1500 v4 then the display size that is set on the controller can be viewed on the left side of the home tab beside Pixel Matrix:.
  6. Verify other settings including Color Depth are correct and continue through the next steps.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. A prompt may appear asking Would you like to delete all files and sub-folders?
    • Selecting Yes - All content, messages, and presentations created for the original sign size will be permanently deleted.
    • Selecting No - All content, messages, and presentations created for the original sign size will remain in the database.
    • If the issue is the height or width it is recommended to click 'YES' due to, none of the previous content was playing correctly out to the display, and you will need to recreate all content. This will also prevent you from having two display configurations listed in your software.
  9. Recreate content and publish to display.
