Unable to publish to display, "unable to publish schedule, schedule file is checked by another user", Venus 1500 V4 security settings incorrect

Potential Symptoms

  • Getting "unable to publish schedule, schedule file is checked by another user" when publishing schedule.
  • Playlists do not appear on the schedule tab in Venus V4.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4

Cause

  • User security not setup for this user to change the schedule.

Resolution

  • Give user Administrator rights in Venus 1500.

Work Around

  • Disable user security.
    1. In Venus V4 click on the orange V in the top left corner.
    2. Select "Venus 1500 Options...".
    3. Click on "User Security" tab.
    4. Uncheck "Enable User Security and press "Ok"
    5. Close Venus 1500.
    6. Reopen Venus 1500 and run normally
