Animations or Scrolling Text Running Rough And Choppy on Galaxy (M2) display

Potential Symptoms

  • Animations or scrolling text preview okay in the software, but play rough/choppy when sent to the display.
  • Get Status to the display in Venus 1500 v3 and most of the memory is red and/or blue.

Environment

  • Galaxy
  • M2 Controller based product
  • Electronic Message Center (EMC) or Board (EMB), Marquee, Readerboard, Display

Cause

  • Display memory is getting full.

Resolution

Venus 1500 v3

  1. Navigate to Diagnostic Control within Display Manager.
  2. Select Clear Display Memory and hit the Reset Display button.
  3. Wait 1 - 2 minutes for the sign to fully restart.
  4. In Display Manager, right click on display name and select Properties.
  5. Choose Memory Cleanup and click Start.
  6. Once finished hit Close and resend content to the display.
