Vanguard; Portion of display blank; VFC-generated TT is using incorrect wiring layout

Potential Symptoms

  • Portion of Vanguard display is blank
  • Wiring Layout is set to Bays, but was configured after setting the pixel height and width

Environment

Cause

The automatically generated Translation Table is using the incorrect wiring layout.

Resolution

  1. Reset VFC to factory defaults.
    1. How to set the VFC back to factory default settings
  2. Log in to Sign 1.
  3. Select Configuration.
  4. Select System.
  5. Select Required.
  6. Arrow down and select Wiring Layout.
  7. Select Bays.
  8. Cancel back to the log in screen and select Shared.
  9. Select Reset.
  10. Select Reboot and wait for VFC to boot back up.
  11. Load the System Backup, if available, otherwise configure controller per Site Config.

  12. Run test patterns/content and verify physical display is playing content correctly.
