Create the first row of data or first record.
Note: It is important to get the first row configured completely before moving on to make a list.
- In the Dynamic Data Library locate the Hockey Data Studio (NHL) category.
- Navigate to Game Stats > Home> Roster 1.
- Click and drag the following elements into your canvas. (Text headers can be added after the list is created or they can be a part of the background image.)
- Jersey
- Full Name
- Position
- Space the elements out in one row. Be sure to leave space for longer names, double digits, etc. For names, consider the shrink to fit option. Content Studio: My text appears to be cut off or does not shrink to fit in the element
- Navigate to Game Stats > Home > Roster 1 > Game Stats > Shifts > Current > Time.
- Click and drag Time onto your first row on your presentation canvas. (The formatted time is often preferred over total seconds.)
- Finalize the first horizontal row of the data elements.
- Use the alignment tools to create an accurate row. Content Studio: How do I align my elements
- Configure the elements to be media rtd if needed.
- Adjust the font and text colors as needed.
Complete the list with Data Tools.
Select the row of data elements and select the Data List tab.
- Create records for each player on the ice. Content Studio: How do I make content that pages data?
- Filter the list to show players on the ice and do not show the goalie. Content Studio: How do I create filtered and sorted data lists that compare player information?
- Field: On-Ice is True & Position is not G.
- Sort the list to show the players with the most ice time at the top.
- Field: Game Stats.Shifts.Current time / Direction: descending 🔽.
- Set the Paging to none
- Preview and Save.
