DakStats Behavior

  • Pitcher: Pitchers who violate the timer are charged with an automatic ball.
    • Example:  If the count was 2-1, now the count is 3-1.  If the result of adding a ball creates a walk situation, then the batter goes to first base and the at-bat is scored as a walk in DakStats.
  • Batter: Batters who violate the timer are charged with an automatic strike.
    • Example:  If the count was 2-1, now the count is 2-2.  If the result of adding a strike creates a strikeout situation, then the batter is out, and their at-bat is scored as a strikeout-looking in DakStats.
  • Pitcher Disengagements:  By rule, if the pitcher completes more than two disengagements, it is scored as a balk.  DakStats has a balk feature that allows you to move the baserunners while keeping everything else the same. DakStats Baseball: How do I enter a Balk?

If displaying a batter’s previous at-bat text, it is possible to edit DakStats-provided description for these new situations.
